Agile Collaborative Curious Sustainable Wellness Role Summary In conjunction with the Clinical Nurse Manager, the Clinical Nurse Specialist contributes to delivering a high standard of care to individuals with complex urological/continence needs in a variety of settings. The Clinical Nurse Specialist will be responsible for managing a caseload of individuals with complex urological/continence needs.

This is a field-based role covering North East London and Essex. The Clinical Nurse Specialist will also facilitate educational programmes as required and will promote Clinisupplies home delivery service for individuals requiring specialist products for the management of their bladder/bowel symptoms.

Key Responsibilities The following provides an indication of the key responsibilities involved in this role but is not intended to be an exhaustive list of all the duties that you may be required to do.

To ensure the individual is offered a holistic assessment and their individual needs are managed appropriately. To manage a caseload of patients requiring support and management of their continence needs. To work in collaboration to develop a caring service for individual clients in their own home or any other statutory establishment. To work autonomously with individuals in a variety of settings ensuring the delivery of high standards of care in the promotion of continence and management of incontinence. Ensure that clients have access to or appropriate referral to other services. To undertake clinical procedures, investigations, or interventions competently whilst maintaining a safe, dignified, and confidential environment for the client. Assess and monitor risk in own and others practice acting on the results, thereby ensuring safe delivery of care. Participate in the management of all available resources to ensure an effective and efficient service, which is consistent, accessible, and relevant to client needs. To participate in delivering training for the development of others. To maintain a high standard of professional competency within a framework of clinical governance. To always maintain a professional attitude in the best interest of the clients and professionals in accordance with the NMC Code of Conduct. To maintain accurate and comprehensive clinical record keeping. To produce reports when requested by the Clinical Nurse Manager. To participate in clinical audit to review and monitor service activity. To ensure quality, standards which improve the clients experience and outcomes are implemented. Maintain personal development to provide a high level of specialist care and support, in accordance with NMC requirements. Attend regular meetings with Clinical Nurse Manager and participate in personal development review as requested. Attend meetings as required at Clinisupplies' head office in Watford. Promote the use of Clinisupplies home delivery service for patients requiring specialist products appropriate to individual need. Actively seek potential business opportunities on behalf of the organisation. Experience Required Passion to win; a self-starter with a sense of urgency to achieve results. Competitive and works hard to exceed sales targets. Ability to self-motivate when needed. Ability to demonstrate sound knowledge and application of NMC Code of Conduct and Scope of Professional Practice. Be able to undertake a specialist holistic assessment, diagnose, plan, and evaluate care. Awareness of the needs of ethnic minority clients/carers. Demonstrate ability to manage caseload/workload and associated resources. Be able to work autonomously. Demonstrate leadership skills. Demonstrate a high level of clinical competence in relation to the specialism. Be able to provide specialist advice and support healthcare professionals, patients, and their carers. Ability to demonstrate written skills that are relevant, accurate, and concise. Ability to demonstrate verbal skills. Ability to demonstrate individual responsibility in respect of Health and Safety. Registered Nurse. Post-registration experience within a urology/continence environment. First-level degree in a health-related subject or working towards. ENB 998 or equivalent with demonstrable experience of teaching or delivering training. ENB 978 or equivalent. Evidence of multi-disciplinary working. Evidence of working with adults who have complex continence issues. Desirable Demonstrable experience within a community setting. Experience of working in a commercial healthcare environment. Demonstrate an understanding of audit processes. Have knowledge of home delivery services for specialist products/DAC. V100/150 Community Prescribing.
