Dis-Chem is looking for a Qualified Clinic Sister to join their team in Foreshore. The key purpose of the position is to manage and operate a profitable Primary Health Care Clinic that is situated in a pharmacy within the scope of practice of a registered nursing practitioner.
Minimum Requirements: Essential: Grade 12 – MatricTertiary qualification in General NursingDegree/Diploma in MidwiferyRegistered with South African Nursing Council (SANC)Nursing practitioner must obtain BHF registration2-3 years' experience in practicing as a Primary Health Care Clinic SisterComputer skills – Microsoft Office: Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook.Advantageous: Minimum 5 years practicing as a Primary Health Care SisterPatient Record System & CKS & Allegra Job Description: Perform Clinic Sister duties according to industry regulations and best practices.Manage the average "feet-per-hour" rate and set clinic objectives to enhance patient care.Ensure all clinic services are available and operational.Keep accurate records of patient details, ensuring follow-up communication.Ensure that the Clinic is open and operational according to the stated hours.Process claims accurately and timeously according to industry standards.Ensure all stock and equipment in the clinic are in working condition.Maintain sufficient stock in the Clinic according to business requirements.Build and maintain healthy relationships with patients, store and dispensary managers, colleagues, medical aids, suppliers, and key role players in the community. Competencies: Essential: Knowledge of community health nursing, primary health care, and occupational health nursing.Strong command of English (written and oral).Strong analytical skills relating to monthly clinic statistics and commission.Emotional intelligence; trustworthy and honest.Ability to manage team and self; be self-directed and self-motivated.Time management skills.Advantageous: Bilingual.Knowledge and understanding of business objectives.Relevant courses in immunization, family planning, and disease management.
