Main Purpose of the Role:You will be expected to support the strategic direction of the Climate, Natural Resources and Infrastructure Team and will include both acquisition, delivery and a staff management component. Specific focus on the delivery of the delivery and management of multiple projects simultaneously is also key. There will be an emphasis on infrastructure design and development in the face of climate change as part of the role. Key Duties and Responsibilities:Provision of specialist engineering related services to guide the planning and development of different infrastructure projects.Working with clients to develop infrastructure projects in a holistic manner with consideration of sustainability and impact to the beneficiaries.Working with, and overseeing the work of, engineering partners providing in depth design support services.Work closely with the CNRI lead to build capabilities, and unlock opportunities, in the planning and implementation of Pre-feasibility and Feasibility level studies related to infrastructure development in the fields of water supply, agriculture and energy.Preparation of technical and financial proposals in response to Request for Proposals received from a wide variety of clients.Presenting findings to clients, partners and senior decision-makers in government, development finance and the private sector with a high level of confidence. QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE RequiredAn Undergraduate and Master's degree in engineering, preferably in one of the fields of water, agriculture or energy. 10 years of working in consultancy, development finance or a relevant corporate setting.Experience in managing and delivering consulting assignments in relevant fields and comfortable with client and contract management.Experience in the planning and design of infrastructure development projects and undertaking Feasibility Studies.Comfortable with undertaking and guiding junior colleagues.PreferredExperience of working in Africa and other frontier markets Foreign language proficiency in French or Portuguese.
