Climate Change Manager

We seek a Climate Change Manager who will be responsible for managing and developing a global team of climate change specialists and delivering high-quality services to our clients and relevant stakeholders.
Position Overview: The Climate Change Manager will be responsible for strategic management, coordination of climate-related projects, and the implementation of innovative solutions to address climate change challenges.
Key Responsibilities:

Develop Climate Services: Lead the development and enhancement of climate change services, including conducting climate risk assessments, GHG accounting (Scopes 1, 2, and 3), and formulating net-zero strategies.
Strategic Planning: Implement and manage climate risk management strategies, develop science-based targets, conduct TCFD-aligned scenario analysis, and create carbon reduction programs.
Project Management: Oversee climate-related projects from initiation to completion, ensuring high-quality deliverables, adherence to timelines, and budget compliance.
Stakeholder Engagement: Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, partners, and other stakeholders. Act as a trusted advisor to help clients navigate their climate change challenges and solutions.
Team Leadership: Manage and mentor a global team of climate specialists, providing guidance on technical and professional development, and driving overall team performance.
Business Development: Identify new business opportunities, develop and track proposals, and drive the expansion of our climate services client base.
Innovative Solutions: Implement advanced climate modelling techniques, develop and implement carbon/energy reduction initiatives, and engage in adaptation planning using industry best practices.
Research and Trends: Stay updated on emerging climate change trends, frameworks, and standards. Communicate relevant insights to clients and internal teams to continuously improve service offerings.

Experience and Skills:

5+ years of relevant experience in climate change or sustainability advisory, preferably within a consulting environment.
Expertise in carbon management and strategy development.
Proficiency in GHG accounting and reporting (Scope 1, 2, & 3).
Experience in setting and implementing science-based targets and net-zero strategies.
Knowledge of climate change modeling and scenario analysis.
Experience developing carbon/energy reduction programs.
Familiarity with natural capital and net-biodiversity concepts.
Understanding of TCFD recommendations and adaptation planning.

Qualifications:

Postgraduate degree with a focus on climate change or related fields.
Project Management Certification is a plus.
