The Client Services Representative will be responsible for liaising with clients and branches across the Sub-Sahara Africa region.23rd December, 2024About the Position:The CSR will be based in ALS Inspection Johannesburg and will report to the Client Services Manager.
The Client Services Representative will ensure feedback to queries is given within acceptable time frames.The position will be responsible for:Compliance:• Practice the ALS Health and Safety Foundation Standards• Practice the ALS company core values• Comply with the ALS company policies and procedures• Always abide by local legislative requirementsMain tasks and responsibilities:Assist clients with technical information relating to the analysis of samples.Follow up and respond to turnaround time queries.Respond to general client queries.Administration and coordination of inspection appointments, including shipments, sampling, and weighing.Monthly reports on customers handled, queries, TAT, and customer retention.Coordinate a seamless inspection service between warehouses, sites, sample preparation, and the laboratory.Ensure that the customer daily update is sent on a daily basis.Arrange shipping of samples to be sent to other laboratories and samples to be returned to the client; and follow up on analysis updates.Make technical recommendations to clients as required.Day-to-day interaction with clients.Liaise with the Inspection team on inspection progress, updating clients on job status and expected TAT on results.Handle client complaints in a timely and professional manner.Ensure audit trails between stockpiles, trucks sampling, and shipment of the same material.Generate certificates of Quality, Certificates of Weight, Packing List, Lab reports, and Sampling Reports for completed customer shipments.Initial checking and reconciliation of customer reports.Ensure all reports are submitted for checking before release to the client.Ensure all final checked and approved client reports and originals are signed off on completion of inspection.Create SIIMS or Exact sales orders and project orders, and generate purchase orders, excel sheets, and SIIMS invoicing.Electronic filing and record keeping of all client information on electronic files.Coordinate with the Inspection team on new shipments and ongoing inspections.Coordinate with site inspectors regarding sampling updates.Ensure that the quality of service rendered meets the ISO 9001:2015 standard and is maintained at a level that meets or exceeds company and market acceptable standards.Manage overall quality of service for areas of responsibility.Requirements:To be successful in this role you will have:Tertiary qualification in Marketing Management (or related field)Tertiary qualification in Analytical Chemistry (or related field)Excellent interpersonal, planning, and communication skillsMaintain confidentiality and integrityHighly organized and flexibleSound decision-making, problem-solving, and preventive measures skillsDemonstrates accountability and is a team playerAbility to investigate, resolve, and respond to queriesInspire and drive excellence in all aspects of workInteract and communicate in a respectful manner considering diverse culturesExcellent numerical and analytical skillsPlanning, thinking, and implementation abilitiesAttention to detail and ability to work under pressureAbility to multitask and meet challenging deadlinesEffective communication skills both verbally and written within all levels of ALS and with clientsMust work well in a team with minimal supervision and be flexible to changing priorities and instructionsMinimum of 2-5 years' hands-on experience in a chemical analysis and/or laboratory environment.A background in either the mineral or environmental analytical markets is highly desirableProficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Internet Explorer.This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated and skilled person looking to develop their career in an international company.
