Client Retention Consultant: Ra: Sanlam Risk & Savings

Responsibilities: Retain business for the Sanlam Savings & Closed business (primarily but not exclusively Section 14 transfers out).Liaise with Clients, Brokers, Broker Consultants and Advisors to prevent the outflow of funds.Influence and promote retention themes with contracted intermediaries.Create additional business for Sanlam by forming relationships with un-contracted intermediaries who are targeting Sanlam clients to transfer them to our competitors.Protect Sanlam clients from transferring their policies to competitors, whilst at the same time marketing Sanlam's flagship products to intermediaries and existing clients.Core Outputs: This is a fixed salary and incentive-based role, which includes clawbacks, in the event of a policy not staying on the books for the minimum prescribed period.Retain Sanlam policies by convincing intermediaries and/or clients to remain with Sanlam, upselling or cross-selling existing Sanlam products, comparing Sanlam's products to competitors' products, formulating compelling counter offers to competitor products, presenting and passing on relevant leads to selected intermediaries, and keeping up to date with market trends and competitor offerings.Influence existing and new intermediaries by convincing brokers not to transfer policies or clients away from Sanlam, demonstrating strong negotiation and sales skills, and building relationships.Ensure ease of processing and administration of business for intermediaries and clients by processing new applications or conversions as hassle-free as possible and extracting new business quotes and other client information.Build partnering relationships with Advisors, Brokers, and Brokers Consultants and take action where good service has been compromised.What will make you successful in this role?Qualifications: At least 2 years' relevant experience.Valid DOFA date and fully accredited within 6 to 9 months.Sales experience will be an advantage.Sanlam Financial Advisor experience will be an advantage.Knowledge: Knowledge of Life Assurance or Financial Services.Knowledge of Savings and Investment products (specifically Retirement annuity plans).Knowledge of Section 14 transfers.Knowledge of Sanlam Risk and universal life products will be an advantage.Knowledge of Sanquote, Sentrix and other Sanlam financial advisor applications will be an advantage.Skills: Effective communication (English & Afrikaans)Business acumenDecision qualityTelephony skillsRelationship buildingAnalytical thinkingPlanning and alignmentInnovation cultivationCustomer focusCollaborationInfluencing and gaining commitmentResults-drivenResilienceComputer skillsBuild a successful career with usWe're all about building strong, lasting relationships with our employees.
