Aon South Africa is recruiting a Client Manager in our Aon Global Client Network (AGCN) department, based on a hybrid basis, from our offices in Sandton.
The role of the Client Manager is to build and improve day-to-day client relationships, manage portfolios of client accounts, and provide technical expertise to less experienced employees.

What the day will look like Responsible for leading, developing, and improving the day-to-day client relationships.Manage the AGCN portfolio clients and co-ordinate all related activities including building a "client profile" of risks and needs analysis.Prepare pre-renewal documents and arrange to meet with clients, including sending renewal notifications to clients, as well as cancellation letters (where applicable).Structure insurance programs to meet these needs including producing client documentation (including policy documents and claims statistics), leading or contributing to renewal meetings, and leading or contributing to fee negotiations.Coordinate and service outwards business, with the split between inward and outward business agreed with the Business Unit Manager.Maintain and improve client satisfaction, retention, revenue, and profitability.Engage and troubleshoot Multinational service delivery issues that could impact existing and future client opportunities.Partner with local and network account teams on jeopardy and prospective client opportunities.Work to achieve growth (5%) and retention (95%) targets for Aon South Africa.Provide Quarterly revenue reports to the Business Unit Manager, including details of revenue directed to the office on inward business generated in country and multi-country revenue opportunities secured via the AGCN.Ensure correct and consistent use of reporting tools and technology to capture multinational opportunities (i.e., SFDC).Attend to client complaints and escalate to Business Unit Head/Legal and Compliance where necessary.Contribute to the development of new business with either existing or new clients – spot opportunities for increasing revenue and follow up appropriately.Act as support to Senior Client Manager/Business Unit Head on larger, more complex accounts.Responsible for credit control in respect of both the local premium and the global fees, ensuring premiums/fees are collected within the stipulated credit period.Maintain GAMS compliance rate greater than 100%.How this opportunity is different Our AGCN team is beaming with risk advisors who are located in over 80 key locations throughout the world and charged with helping global organizations identify and handle various types of risks that impact their businesses. Skills and experience that will lead to success Qualifications: A minimum of Grade 12 or equivalent.A Bachelor's degree is preferable.Must be registered as a representative with the FSCA in terms of the FAIS Act.Must be registered as an associate with the IISA.Knowledge: Excellent knowledge of policy wordings.An extensive knowledge of the South African short-term insurance markets.An in-depth strategic knowledge of industry and business strategies and company goals.Computer literacy with advanced know-how in MS Word and Excel.Skills and Attributes: Skill and confidence to articulate Aon's proposition and how it differentiates Aon and benefits clients.Advanced analytical, technical, and problem-solving skills and abilities.Well-developed communication skills.Fluency in the English language, both written and spoken.Good interpersonal and organizational skills.Ability to work effectively in and with teams.Experience: A minimum of 5 - 10 years' experience in a similar or related role.How we support our colleagues In addition to our comprehensive benefits package, we encourage a diverse workforce.
