We are looking for a Claims Consultant - Short Term Insurance to provide general office support to the team and to assist the other Claims Administrators with the processing of claims, as well as attending to the needs of customers in a professional manner.
Duties: All claims to be registered within 2 hours of receipt and referred to respective insurers where applicable.Act in accordance with the prescribed mandate and operating procedure.Assessor or Loss Adjuster to be appointed when required within an hour of registrationPayments captured on relevant system on same day of payment madeCredits to be passed on same day funds are received.Recoveries/Salvages to be actioned within 7 days and followed up in 30 days.Weekly follow-up on outstanding invoicesClaims finalised and payment requisitioned within same day of final correspondence receivedFast-track relevant claims to be dealt with and finalised within 48 hours t/aKeep clients informed on progress of claims at all times (according to the diary system). This includes updating clients of any changes immediately.Estimates to be amended on the system as new quotes/assessor reports are receivedAll relevant fields to be completed accurately and as per operating procedureDocuments and conversations to be recorded or saved on relevant system immediately.All telephonic conversations are to be recorded on relevant system in the form of content, dates and timesQualifications: FAIS qualificationRegulatory Exams: RE5CPD Points relevant to the category the Ranger is registered forExperience: PC Skills (MS Office and Excel) AdvancedRelevant Claims System (Cardinal 360/CIMS) Advanced claims administrationKnowledge of insurance practices, markets and competitorsMinimum of 5 year claims experienceBinder experienceCIMS experienceA full and more in-depth job spec will be provided to those candidates that are shortlisted for submission to the client.
