THE MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE ROLE INCLUDECarry out the claims handling/negotiation process within one's assigned mandateManage a portfolio of brokers and the claims emanating from such portfolioFacilitate and process the transfer of required claims information between brokers and Safire in an accurate and timely mannerProvide high-quality service and solutions to brokers to ensure business retention and profitable growthEnsure the required needs of internal and external clients and service providers are metDevelop and maintain sound working relationships with clients/brokers assigned to youEngage in projects and be a part of the development of the Claims Department as a wholeTHE QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE WE ARE LOOKING FORMatric / Grade 12 (Accounting and Maths) is a minimum requirementFAIS Regulatory Examination (RE1 and RE5) (advantageous)Full qualification in short-term insurance (advantageous)Registered with FSCA as a Representative and Key Individual (advantageous)Adherence to the FSCA Fit and Proper requirementsMinimum 3 years experience in short-term insurance – both domestic and commercial insuranceTHE COMPETENCIES WE REQUIRE AREProficiency in analysis, judgement, problem-solving, collaboration, business logic, and influencingProficiency in the MS Office Suite with excellent Outlook, Excel, and Word skillsProficiency in working with insurance systemsProficiency in the relevant legislative knowledgeTechnically proficient with product knowledge relevant to the type of insurance being offeredTHE TYPE OF PERSONALITY THAT WILL EXCEL IN OUR TEAMAct ethically and respectfully in every situationWork meticulously with a very high attention to detailHighly organised and deliver work on time, and to the highest standardBuild strong and cohesive relationships with diverse stakeholdersCan work under pressure and with a sense of urgency and assertivenessExcellent communication and interpersonal skillsMust be a team player and enjoy collaborationThis job is based in Pietermaritzburg, KZN.
