Job purpose statement:We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Building Supervisor to coordinate and integrate construction activities on-site.
The successful candidate will be responsible for managing construction processes, ensuring compliance with project schedules, safety regulations, and quality standards in the Oil and Gas sector.Key Performance AreasProject Delivery ManagementOversee and coordinate construction activities according to approved project schedulesManage subcontractors and ensure contractual obligations are metTrack and report project progress to Construction ManagerAttend and participate in site progress meetingsQuality and ComplianceImplement and enforce Lesedi NS and Eskom SHEQ proceduresVerify health and safety plans and ensure regulatory complianceManage construction documentation and quality assurance processesEnsure materials are appropriately stored, handled, and installedOperational IntegrationCommunicate with project stakeholders and subcontractorsManage site interfaces, permits to work, and shutdown requirementsFacilitate seamless construction activities with minimal operational disruptionEstablish clear job descriptions and responsibilities for site personnelQualifications:Mandatory OHSACT and Construction Regulations trainingEligible to become a PR CM (Senior Construction Superintendent)Experience:Minimum 10 years on-site experience as a Construction SupervisorPractical on-site construction experienceCompetenciesKnowledge:Comprehensive understanding of South African building codesThorough knowledge of ISO 14001 and OHSAS 18001Proficient in project scheduling methodologiesWell-versed in regulatory and safety governanceSkills:Computer literacy (Word, Excel)Clear and effective communicationTechnical competence in construction managementBehaviours/Personal Attributes:Strong leadership capabilitiesHigh integrity and loyaltySelf-motivated with ability to independently initiate activitiesEnthusiastic and energetic team playerAbility to accept and drive personal accountabilityConceptual thinking and strategic visionFlexible and open-mindedMethodical with exceptional attention to detailCapable of establishing and maintaining stakeholder relationshipsShould you not hear from us within 21 days of the closing of the advert, kindly regard your application to have been unsuccessful.
