The ideal candidate will possess strong technical knowledge and expertise in designing, analyzing, and evaluating structures such as buildings, bridges, and other infrastructure projects. The candidate should be proficient in using computer-aided design (CAD) software and have excellent problem-solving skills to ensure the safety and stability of structures.ResponsibilitiesDesign, analyze, and evaluate structures to ensure they meet safety and building code regulationsCollaborate with architects, construction teams, and other stakeholders to develop structural designs that meet project requirementsPrepare detailed drawings, specifications, and reports for construction projectsConduct site visits and inspections to assess the condition of existing structures and recommend repair or reinforcement measuresStay current on industry trends and developments to incorporate new technologies and best practices into projectsRequirementsBachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field; Master's degree preferredPrEng/PrTech requiredMinimum of 5 years of experience in structural engineeringMust be able to speak isiXhosa fluentlyMust be willing to engage in business developmentMust be willing to relocate to East LondonStrong analytical and problem-solving skillsExcellent communication and interpersonal skillsAbility to work independently and collaborate with a teamSalary and BenefitsCompetitive salary based on experience and qualificationsHealth insurance, retirement plans, and other benefitsOpportunities for professional development and career advancementFull Time
