PURPOSE OF ROLEThe Civil QC inspector is required to ensure all work performed by Lesedi or subcontractors conform to our customer`s relevant codes, standards, and safety requirements.
Deliverables in terms of client requirements and to ensure the safety and reliability of manufactured goods, construction projects, or engineered systems.KEY PERFORMANCE AREASPrevious experience in civil construction works and supervision or inspection of roadworks.Record inspections, tests and work executed.Monitor the review of the contractor's documents/shop drawings to flag and rectify any issues which may affect the stability or function of any components or systems.Preparing daily logs and reports.Monitoring and ensuring that all civil/structural engineering aspects of the project are carried out as per inspection plan/drawings/codes and specifications.Monitor safety aspects when dealing with Civil/structural installations.Perform and or evaluate tests confirming quality requirements, civil/structural finishes and building components by conducting thorough site inspection for all civil/structural works as per approved shop drawings, specifications and method statement.Field checks placement, location and quality of civil/structural finishes, building structure components.Perform civil/structural inspections and material inspections.Ensure compliance of civil/structural l works to design requirements, specifications, and project plan.QUALIFICATION AND EXPERIENCEDiploma in Civil Engineering or equivalent.OSHA, ACI, NICET, CISEC/QSP Certified Inspector.Auditor 90015 years` related experience in Civil/ Construction environment.Experience in the use of various software's including Microsoft Office products and other PM Software is required.Knowledge of Codes, Standards and Civil construction Processes.Minimum 5 years QA/QC experience.Experience in managing subcontractors and teams.Must be able to prepare reports and meeting minutes and update construction record documents.COMPETENCIESHigh degree of integrity and loyalty.Self-motivated with the ability to independently initiate activities.Able to accept personal accountability and driving accountability in others.A team player and able to generate team spirit and cooperation.Able to establish and maintain allocated stakeholder relationships.Have foresight to anticipate opportunities and threats.Methodical, with good attention to deal.Should you not hear from us within 21 days of the closing of the advert, kindly regard your application to have been unsuccessful.
