PURPOSE OF THE JOB:
Apply theory and principles of civil engineering in planning, designing, and overseeing construction and maintenance of structures and facilities under the direction of Civil Lead. Manage projects of varying size within the Senwes group.
Responsibilities:
Asset condition and compliance support
Condition assessment inspections to assist maintenance teams
Report writing and formal documentation
Relevant recommendations
Successful redress of identified issues necessitating instant action
Maintenance support
Preventative Maintenance
Emergency Maintenance
Planned maintenance
Project management
Project Planning
Project Execution and Management
Complete Project Close-Out and As-Build documentation to be completed and archived
Procurement and works submission
Bill of quantities generation
Contractor database (Seek new contractors)
Tender with all relevant specs according to correct tender procedure / RFQ
Tender evaluations (in conjunction with procurement department)
Negotiating with contractor
Design, standards and specifications development
Collaborate with Civil Lead and other personnel to identify, define, and solve developmental problems.
Analyse and interpret test / measurement information to resolve design-related problems.
Review existing civil engineering criteria to identify necessary revisions, deletions or amendments to outdated material.
Conduct inspections for quality control and assurance programs, reporting findings and recommendations.
Requirements:
B.Tech in Civil Engineering
At least 2 years relevant experience in a project management environment
