Role Introduction Our Global Design Centre (GDC) Water team is recruiting to support a key Australian client who has a growing water business. Specifically, the team is looking for engineers who wish to pursue a design-focused career in the water sector, for bulk conveyance and treatment infrastructure.
We are looking for individuals who have a strong engineering background in bulk water or wastewater infrastructure projects and wish to become leading technical specialists in the water sector.
Role Responsibilities Perform complex engineering designs, calculations, and analysis of water or wastewater infrastructure and systems.Be responsible for the design of water and wastewater infrastructure systems (specifically including pump stations, pipelines, and treatment facilities), with key contributions on 3D models, technical drawings, and details.Produce other key deliverables on projects, such as technical reports, specifications, and procurement documentation.Assist with the management and delivery of water projects to a high quality within constrained timeframes.Demonstrate sound knowledge in the use of a variety of civil engineering analysis software and apply advanced skills with 3D engineering modelling software.Have a sound understanding and working knowledge of BIM processes.Exhibit confident, well-spoken, self-starter qualities, being disciplined, detail-oriented, and deadline/delivery focused.Be a team player that is willing to collaborate across multiple disciplines and international geographies.Possess excellent communication skills (proven ability to interact well with personnel at all organisational levels).Demonstrate excellent organisational skills (ability to plan and implement) and time management skills.Minimum Requirements BSc/BEng. degree (Civil Engineering).Professional Engineer registered with ECSA with 5-10 years' experience.A minimum of 4 years' experience on civil engineering projects, with an emphasis on bulk water/wastewater infrastructure.Must be AutoCAD proficient.A working knowledge of engineering design software and analytical tools applicable to the envisaged role.Advantageous Experience and Competencies Construction related experience on bulk water/wastewater infrastructure projects.Capability in Autodesk suite of engineering software (e.g., Civil 3D, Revit, Inventor, Navisworks, or InfraWorks).Capability in using common data environments such as ACC/BIM360 or ProjectWise.Capability in transient (surge) analysis of pipelines.Capability in Computational Fluid Dynamics modelling.We believe that a diverse workforce is key to our business success.
