Civil Engineer

Requirements:

BSc/B Eng/ BTech in Civil Engineering
ECSA registered
Minimum 3 years experience in a similar role within the mining environment
Clean record with a valid COF or the ability to obtain a certificate of fitness
Able to commence duties on short notice
Must be in possession of a valid code 14 drivers license
Computer literacy (MS Office, Autocad, Prokom & Projects)
Ability to maintain sound interpersonal relations with client and company
Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
Ability to plan, lead, execute and organize tasks

Overview:
To manage from plant to pit for the preparation, installation and construction of in-pit deposits (tailings storage facility) including:

All related civil earthworks e.g. excavations, dozing
Slurry/re-mine pipelines
Concrete works

Key Responsibilities:

Site supervision
Site quality control management
Programme / project management
Technical advice
Inspections
Progress reports
Ensure compliance to all Health and Safety and environmental rules on site
Consult and interact with clients to optimize operating specifications
