Civil Engineer Cumbria – Onsite 12 Month Contract Inside IR35 BPSS Job Description/Role:
Set out detailed works as per the contract drawings, ensuring checks are carried out on a regular basisEnsure that records are accurate and comply with organizational and legal requirementsResolve any unexpected technical difficulties and other problems that may arise at any timeProduce procurement schedules for the jobs and liaise with the procurement department to ensure sites have adequate resources to complete the tasksProduce ITP's and Task BriefingsProduce 2-week look ahead in conjunction with the Project teamProduce Site Diaries and Allocation SheetsHealth, safety & environment Promote and establish safe working cultures and practices
Comply with company procedures and legal obligations
Promote and comply with environmental compliance
Deliver the works safely and to deadline
Quality Comply with Company procedures
Ensure work is delivered defect/snag free
Endeavor to spot and highlight value engineering opportunities
Essential Experience & Qualifications:
Previous experience of setting out on civil engineering projects.
Sound knowledge of construction methods, health and safety, and legal regulations
Degree/HNC qualified, or equivalent, in civil engineering
Excellent communication skills with the ability to liaise effectively with both clients and staff
Self-driven and results-oriented with a positive outlook
BPSS security clearance is required with the ability to obtain a P4 pass
Experience in using AutoCAD and MS Office
Temporary-works co-ordination
CSCS card
First aid training
Confined space training
NEBOSH or IOSH
Design Tools/Software: Experience in using AutoCAD and MS Office
