Civil EngineerCumbria – Onsite12 Month ContractInside IR35BPSSJob Description/Role:Set out detailed works as per the contract drawings, ensuring checks are carried out on a regular basisEnsure that records are accurate and comply with organizational and legal requirementsResolve any unexpected technical difficulties and other problems that may arise at any timeProduce procurement schedules for the jobs and liaise with the procurement department to ensure sites have adequate resources to complete the tasksProduce ITP's and Task BriefingsProduce 2-week look ahead in conjunction with the Project teamProduce Site Diaries and Allocation SheetsHealth, safety & environmentPromote and establish safe working cultures and practicesComply with company procedures and legal obligationsPromote and comply with environmental complianceDeliver the works safely and to deadlineQualityComply with Company proceduresEnsure work is delivered defect/snag freeEndeavor to spot and highlight value engineering opportunitiesEssential Experience & Qualifications:Previous experience of setting out on civil engineering projects.Sound knowledge of construction methods, health and safety, and legal regulationsDegree/HNC qualified, or equivalent, in civil engineeringExcellent communication skills with the ability to liaise effectively with both clients and staffSelf-driven and results-oriented with a positive outlookBPSS security clearance is required with the ability to obtain a P4 passExperience in using AutoCAD and MS OfficeTemporary-works co-ordinationCSCS cardFirst aid trainingConfined space trainingNEBOSH or IOSHDesign Tools/Software:Experience in using AutoCAD and MS Office
