Our services include engineering, project management, quantity surveying, environmental consulting, management consulting, and town planning. Our Civil Engineering Division is looking for a Civil Engineer or Technologist to be based at our Umhlanga office.Applicants must be:A Graduate in BSc Civ Eng / B Eng (Civils) or B Tech (Civil Eng) or must be already registered or close to being as a Pr Eng or Pr Tech EngECSA Registration certificate or Engineer in Training certificate to accompany applicationThe ideal candidate would meet the following criteria:Leadership skills underpinned by strong technical ability.Should be looking to make a final move for a long-term career with Client.Minimum 5 years' technical experience and 1-2 years' team leadership experience (most of which in a consulting engineering firm)Experience in:Roads, earthworks, storm water, and sewer - essentialStorm water managementPump station design (both sewer and water supply) desirable.Experience in the following industries / areas - a strong advantage:Other required skills, abilities, and behaviours:Must be active in the design field and proficient in the use of MS Office, Autocad Civil 3D (essential), and IDAS an advantageKnowledgeable in Hec-ras, GIS, PCSWMM, or similar an advantageKnowledgeable in Thekweni standards an advantageProblem Solving and Critical ThinkingAccurate – with strong attention to detailConfident, with strong interaction/people skillsDynamic and driven – yet humbleEven temperedTeam playerKey result areas (technical and managerial):Technical expertise on civils projectsDeliver complete projects through the full project life cycle would be an advantageClient and stakeholder relationship managementProject specific controlsMentorship of junior engineersMust have a driver's license and be willing to travel to sites in SA and Africa if required.Please Note:Should you not be contacted within 1 month, consider your application unsuccessful.
