Civil Engineer/ Civil Technologist

Our client in the consulting environment is looking for a Civil Engineer/ Technologist who has between 8 to 10 years experience in the design and delivery of engineering projects in urban development, project management, contractual administration, and design. This role is based in Cape Town. The successful candidate will be responsible for but not limited to the following: Duties and Responsibilities: · Project Leader or Design Engineer · Assist clients with project inception. · Investigate alternative solutions to problems · Compile or review technical reports · Compilation of project reports and data collection · Manage project staff. · Maintain ISO 9001 quality assurance standards · Perform complex civil designs · Review all project designs and drawings · Provide technical support · Assist as reviewer with design reviews of other projects · Initiate project design reviews · Prepare manhour budgets and control project finances · Initiate Client Surveys and request client reference letters · Archive project to current requirements · Compile project sheets · Project management · The preparation of contract documentation, and technical specifications (including performance and acceptance criteria) · Monitoring and administration of contracts for construction work. · Assist in the procurement of new work, marketing and tendering. · Client engagement · Mentor, coach and train staff in the field of your expertise. · Assist with managing of staffing resources within the Department. · Assist with overseeing divisions training needs. · Required to perform any other duties which may be required from time to time by the Department Manager or managing director. BSC/ B-tech in Civil Engineering. 8 to 10 years of experience. Extensive experience in municipal engineering projects, focusing on Water and Wastewater Treatment, Pumpstation, Sizing pumps, Pipeline Designs, Bulk sewerage and Water systems
