Role responsibilities: A solid background in the public and private sector specializing in land infrastructure from township to site specific scale.Sound knowledge in the use of a variety of civil engineering analysis software. Advanced computer skills with working knowledge of CAD Software.Sound understanding and working knowledge of BIM processes.Develop specifications, BoQ's, cost estimates, and prepare final tender documentation.Prepare reports required by the project, implementation of all relevant codes of practice and ensuring that all work complies with Zutari's quality control procedures and is implemented to SANS or relevant requirements.Ensure that required drawing standards are maintained and deliver excellent client service while being client facing.Knowledge and experience of relevant engineering codes, standards, and practices.Confident, well-spoken, self-starter, disciplined, detail and deadline / delivery orientated.Excellent communication skills (proven ability to interact well with personnel at all organizational levels).Excellent organizational skills (ability to plan and implement) and Time Management skills.Ability to work effectively as part of a team or independently with minimal oversight, willing to collaborate across multiple disciplines and international geographies.Ability to interpret and communicate information of a complex technical nature.Able to learn and to develop new skills and workflows for new digital tools.BSc/BEng or B. Tech degree (Civil Engineering).Engineer/Technologist registered with ECSA as a Candidate (advantageous).Minimum of 5 to 7 years' experience as a designer in land infrastructure / wet utilities (Water, Sewer, Stormwater, Minor Roads).Must be CAD & Civil 3D proficient.Capability in Autodesk suite of engineering software (e.g. Civil 3D, InfoWorks, InfoDrainage, InfoWater, Revit, Inventor, Navisworks or InfraWorks).Scripting in Dynamo & capability in using common data environments such as ACC/BIM360 would be advantageous.Sound project design and deliverable management experience.We believe that a diverse workforce is key to our business success.
