Manage all Tender Admin: records, tax clearance and relevant certificates (e.g. FEM - Companies Workmans Compensation Fund, BCCEI which is the construction sectoral agreement) renewals (e.g. CIDB - Construction Industry Development Board) Research tenders and/or attend tender inspections/site to identify effectively relevant tenders Obtain all relevant prices/quotes. Consult with relevant engineers. Obtain the BOQ Bill of Quantities and ensure all requirements are met Place tender on CCS Candy and/or EJM with all required documents well in advance of deadline dates Manage full project on MS Projects Negotiate where necessary to the benefit of the project, incl of all bulk orders, scheduling with relevant Contract Managers, Site Agents, etc to ensure project is well managed, on time and professionally implemented. Visit all construction site, compare processes, outputs, etc and implement the necessary actions, prices/costs, additional tasks, items, etc where necessary and appropriate Control and manage the Site Certificate, relevant Registers, cost management all in conjunction with the Quantity Suveryor. Update the Masterbill and endure it is kept updated and accurate at all times Manage and handle all cost management reports with the QS and lead and manage all and any meetings relating to cost management. Ensure professional relationships with all suppliers, clients, engineers, site agents, etc Degree / Diploma in Civil Engineering 3 -5 years field experience and, at least 5 years estimating experience in the construction industry Good knowledge of programming as well as estimator software. Attention to detail.and able to function under pressure Above average skills in planning, administration, cost of time. Exception negotiation skills and able to maintain good client relations. Comfortable working overtime
