Responsibilities:

Effective operation of the plant as an effective business unit to an agreed business plan and process parameters.
Develop 2-5 years resource and mining strategy and coordinate ore and services to the plant.
Responsible for compilation and control of production, quality and cost budgets.
Creating a high performing team and a conducive employee relations climate - people management (HR and IR) in a unionized environment.
Ensures adherence to legislative requirements and the company's Health and Safety Standards.
Financial Management (operational and capital cost budgets).
Responsible for research and development.
Maintain good relationship with client at host-mine and liaise on all relevant plant issues.
Requirements:

Matric Certificate / Grade 12 (with Mathematics and Science).
Metallurgical or Chemical Engineering Degree or BTech Extraction Metallurgy or similar.
Post graduate qualification would be advantageous.
Minimum 10 years post qualification experience on metallurgical plants and projects.
5 years plus in supervisory / management position.
PGM flotation and chrome recovery plant experience non-negotiable.
Valid medical fitness certificate - Fit for movement in plants.
Code 8 driver's license and own transport.
