Job Description: Germanna Community College is currently in search of a part-time Childcare Consultant who will be responsible for providing consultation and technical assistance to the Child Care Assistance Programs team at the College and to childcare providers in our service area. The Childcare Consultant will work directly with directors and staff at local childcare centers and provide them with support, assistance, and guidance on national accreditation, and work to expand childcare options for Germanna student parents and sustain current partnerships through memorandums of understanding and/or agreements.
The Childcare Consultant will also provide direct consultation to the College on the Child Care Access Means Parents In School (CCAMPIS) federal grant program through the U.S. Department of Education. The Consultant will support the full-time CCAMPIS Project Coordinator, their team, and the CCAMPIS Steering Committee, with fulfilling grant obligations, including but not limited to connecting student parents with approved childcare providers, collecting and reporting data to the U.S Department of Education, and submitting Annual Performance Reviews.
The Childcare Consultant will maintain all program data and documentation from their work and compile and submit accurate reports in a timely manner and in compliance with grant programs. The Consultant will also provide services to evaluate needs, provide resources, share tools and strategies, and provide guidance and follow-up to the Child Care Assistance Program team. The Consultant will provide quality improvement targeted technical assistance to childcare centers seeking national accreditation and advise program leadership regarding providers selected for utilization of services.
Reasonable commuting distance: Consultant will need to visit local childcare providers and occasionally attend Germanna events and activities on-site.
This is a restricted position: Continued employment is dependent on receipt of grant funding. Hours may vary throughout the grant period.
