Mezzanine sells directly (B2B) and through trusted sales channels. As we expand to more segments and markets we need adaptable team players with a 'can do' attitude who can help drive growth and deliver customer success.
About the role We are seeking a dynamic Chief Sales Officer (CSO) to build and lead our sales business function and drive business growth across Sub-Saharan Africa. The CSO will focus on improving performance of existing sales channels, activate new sales channels, run an effective sales operating model, and grow and lead high performance inbound and outbound sales teams across all Mezzanine sales channels. The CSO will be accountable for delivering revenue and contract value targets aligned with commercial success metrics e.g. contribution margin, EBIT and cash flow. The CSO will serve on the Mezzanine Executive Committee and report into the CEO.
Requirements The ideal candidate will be
someone with 10 years of digital enterprise solution sales experience and well versed in Software as a Service (SaaS) commercials and negotiationsa seasoned sales executive with excellent system-, lateral thinking and deal making abilitydriven with a proven track-record covering both the science- and art of enterprise (B2B) sales an effective manager that is able to deliver growth in partnership with our appointed sales teams- and channels Good presentation skills and comfortable in professional discussions and complex solution sales negotiations with 3rd parties on C-LevelSub-Saharan Africa work experience in the digital solutions environment and proven track record in working with public enterprise & private multinational corporates with matrix organisationsA tertiary qualification - science or commerceHigh proficiency in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint and Excel Be willing to travel extensively across Africa - channel- and customer engagements an Employment equity (EE) candidate.
