Job DescriptionJob responsibilities include (but are not limited to): Perform daily planning of activities and tasks to ensure timeous completion of tasks ahead of deadlines.Planning and implementing nursing care plan according to identified needs.Planning and implementing of wellness campaignsPlanning and preparing for Internal and External Occupational Health, Trauma, DMRE and Safety and mine related auditsBudgeting for Platmed and the mine for health and hygiene departmentAllocation of staff and work based on staff availability.Rand Mutual Assurance (& COIDA) accident/incident reporting and ensuring all paperwork & related administration is done.Compiling of weekly, monthly and annual stats for reporting to DMRE, Mine and Platmed.Attending safety meetings on the mine for safety and healthArranging for employee safety spectacles in collaboration with outsourced service provider (Optometrists)Follow up on Customized Hearing Protective Devices (Noise clippers) collection and ensure compliance in collaboration with Outsourced service Provider.QualificationsGrade 12Diploma or Degree in Nursing ScienceB.Tech In Occupational HealthRegistered with SANC & SASHONDispensing licenceHealth Services Management certificate or equivalentBasic Life SupportExperience: 5 years' experience in similar role within mining industryTechnical Knowledge: Operations:Knowledge of operational processes within scope of roleCommercial:N/A – not expected for this LoWManagement:Risk management techniques and critical controlsCompliance:Safety, health and environment, legislative, statutory, regulatory and permitting requirementsKnowledge of relevant mining and labour legislationRand mutual and WCA(COIDA) reporting and follow upsAdditional InformationAdditional Information Who We Are
