Our client, Water Skills based in Centurion, is a leading South African Engineering firm specializing in water and effluent treatment, is looking to appoint a visionary COO to lead, manage and strategically align the business to the long-term vision. This is the ideal position for a dynamic Process or Chemical Engineer to take up this senior role in a company that has been formed just over 21 years ago. The core business includes water and wastewater treatment solutions, supported by their in-house manufacturing capabilities and proprietary technologies. This role combines technical expertise with strategic oversight and general business management. The ideal candidate will not only manage the company as a whole, but actively contribute and lead the process of designing and development of solutions for clients. The ideal candidate should be eager to grow with the company and take over the reigns from the current CEO. The duties will include (but are not limited to): *providing operational leadership *managing projects and design processes *driving business development and marketing efforts *fostering and maintaining stakeholder relations *leading and managing the team *overseeing overall business and financial management. Additionally, the role will involve ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations, optimizing internal processes for efficiency, developing strategic partnerships, and contributing to the continuous improvement of organizational culture and performance. Essential qualifications, skills and experience: • BEng or BTech degree in Water Engineering, Chemical Engineering or Process Engineering; • A Post-graduate qualification specializing in Water Treatment will be beneficial; • At least 10 years' experience as a qualified Engineer; • At least 8 years' experience with Water and Effluent projects, designs or implementation; • The suitable candidate must be familiar with membrane systems within water treatment plants.
