Job Title: Chief of PoliceThe City of Johannesburg seeks a seasoned law enforcement professional to lead its policing efforts. As the Chief of Police, you will be responsible for providing strategic leadership on all aspects of integrated public safety.Key Responsibilities:Lead the provision of Policing, traffic management, By-law Enforcement and crime prevention services;Ensure efficient and effective implementation/performance of core functions prescribed in section 64C of the South African Police Service Act;Manage the Branch in terms of section 64C (2) (a-h);Financial and Human Resources management;Requirements:Matric/Grade 12;Bachelor's degree or BTech in Policing (NQF level 7);Basic police training qualification;Registration with a relevant professional body an added advantage;At least 10 years extensive experience and subject matter expertise in policing and supervisory environment;Firearm proficiency;No criminal record (excl. political in the previous dispensation).Estimated Salary:R1,200,000 - R1,800,000 per annum.This is a senior-level position requiring a strong background in law enforcement and leadership.
