Chief Nurse

Key Responsibilities:- Oversee the daily operations of the medical department on board ships- Manage a team of nurses and provide guidance and support as needed- Develop and implement medical protocols and procedures to ensure the health and safety of crew members- Coordinate with the ship's captain and crew to provide medical care and support as needed- Maintain accurate medical records and reports- Monitor and maintain medical supplies and equipment on board- Conduct regular training and drills for medical emergencies- Ensure compliance with all relevant laws, regulations, and company policies- Communicate effectively with all levels of staff, including crew members, management, and medical professionals on shoreQualifications:- Bachelor's degree in Nursing or a related field- Current and valid nursing license- Minimum of 5 years of experience in nursing, preferably in a leadership role- Experience working in a maritime or remote setting is a plus- Strong leadership and communication skills- Ability to work well under pressure and in a fast-paced environment- Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities- Knowledge of medical equipment and procedures- Willingness to travel and work on board ships for extended periods of time
