Chief Information Officer

Our client in the Fintech space seeks a Chief Information Officer to join their organisation. Duties and Responsibilities but not limited:Lead a team managing all aspects of IT (Software) with delivery across multiple functions.Build a culture of innovation and engagement, focusing on strengthening the organization's employer brandIdentify risks and form contingency plans as soon as possibleDevelop, implement and monitor software development policies and controls to ensure data accuracy, security, and legal and regulatory compliance.Ensure compliance with Cyber Security best practices.Ensure that all application development initiatives are well managed and delivered to meet expectations on functionality, timeliness, and costImplement and champion a robust professional development program, and continuously upskill team members to keep them currentSet objectives and strategies for the IT departmentSelect and implement suitable technology to streamline all internal operations and help optimize strategic benefitsDesign and customize technological systems and platforms to improve customer experience.Plan the implementation of new systems and guide IT professionals and stakeholders within the organizationApprove purchases of technological equipment and software and establish partnerships with IT providers.Oversee the technological infrastructure (networks and computer systems) in the organization to ensure optimal performanceDirect and organize IT-related projectsMonitor changes or advancements in technology to discover ways the company can gain a competitive advantageAnalyse the costs, value and risks of information technology to advise management and suggest actions. Experience, Qualifications and Skills Required:BSc bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering or related fields4+ years of proven experience in a similar senior roleIndustry experience is highly advantageous (banking/retail/merchant).Background in designing/developing IT systems and planning IT implementation.Impeccable IT knowledge and infrastructureAn understanding of IOT technologyThorough understanding of data management and administrationSkilled at strategic planning and goal-settingFamiliarity with IT standards and regulationA strong strategic and business mindsetSolid understanding of data analysis, budgeting and business operations
