Our client in the Fintech space seeks a Chief Information Officer to join their organisation. Duties and Responsibilities but not limited: Lead a team managing all aspects of IT (Software) with delivery across multiple functions.
Build a culture of innovation and engagement, focusing on strengthening the organization's employer brand Identify risks and form contingency plans as soon as possible Develop, implement and monitor software development policies and controls to ensure data accuracy, security, and legal and regulatory compliance.
Ensure compliance with Cyber Security best practices.
Ensure that all application development initiatives are well managed and delivered to meet expectations on functionality, timeliness, and cost Implement and champion a robust professional development program, and continuously upskill team members to keep them current Set objectives and strategies for the IT department Select and implement suitable technology to streamline all internal operations and help optimize strategic benefits Design and customize technological systems and platforms to improve customer experience.
Plan the implementation of new systems and guide IT professionals and stakeholders within the organization Approve purchases of technological equipment and software and establish partnerships with IT providers.
Oversee the technological infrastructure (networks and computer systems) in the organization to ensure optimal performance Direct and organize IT-related projects Monitor changes or advancements in technology to discover ways the company can gain a competitive advantage Analyse the costs, value and risks of information technology to advise management and suggest actions.
Experience, Qualifications and Skills Required: BSc bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering or related fields 4+ years of proven experience in a similar senior role Industry experience is highly advantageous (banking/retail/merchant).
Background in designing/developing IT systems and planning IT implementation.
Impeccable IT knowledge and infrastructure An understanding of IOT technology Thorough understanding of data management and administration Skilled at strategic planning and goal-setting Familiarity with IT standards and regulation A strong strategic and business mindset Solid understanding of data analysis, budgeting and business operations
