My client is a multifaceted South African company active in a range of sectors, such as telecommunications, electronics, and industrial services. The role will report to the Managing Director and will be responsible for developing and implementing financial strategies aligned with the companys goals. Oversee the preparation of and monitor budgets, ensuring alignment with strategic objectives. Ensure accurate and timely preparation of financial statements and reports. Ensure compliance with financial regulations and standards (e.g., GAAP, and IFRS). Identify financial risks and develop strategies to mitigate them. Oversee insurance and other risk management strategies. Manage cash flow to ensure the company can meet its obligations and invest in growth. Analyze financial performance, identify trends, and provide insights to drive business decisions. Lead and manage the finance team, including hiring, training, and performance evaluations. Provide financial insights and recommendations to support strategic decision-making and business development. Implement and manage financial systems and technology to streamline processes and improve reporting. Oversee financial due diligence and integration processes for mergers, acquisitions, or other significant business transactions.
