The Chief Financial Officer (CFO) will play a pivotal role in driving Ozow's strategic growth and financial success. This high-impact position will oversee all financial aspects of the business, ensuring financial health, regulatory compliance, and efficient operations. The ideal candidate will be a seasoned financial leader with a proven track record in the fintech or payments industry.Key ResponsibilitiesOversee financial planning, analysis, reporting, and risk management.Develop and implement robust financial strategies aligned with business objectives.Ensure compliance with relevant financial regulations, accounting standards (IFRS, GAAP), and data privacy laws.Develop and utilize financial models to support strategic decision-making, business growth, and M&A activities.Conduct financial analysis to assess the feasibility and profitability of new initiatives.Fundraising and Investor Relations:Lead fundraising efforts, negotiate investment terms, and foster strong relationships with investors, banks, and financial institutions.Represent Ozow in investor presentations and meetings.Team Management:Build and lead a high-performing finance team, providing mentorship, coaching, and career development opportunities.Foster a collaborative and results-oriented culture within the finance department.Treasury Management:Optimize cash flow, manage working capital, and oversee treasury operations.Strengthen the treasury function by enhancing liquidity forecasting and risk management capabilities.Proactively manage risks across multiple currencies, including interest rate, foreign exchange, and credit risks.Identify, assess, and mitigate financial risks, including credit, market, liquidity, and operational risks.Implement effective risk management frameworks and controls.Leverage automation and AI to streamline processes, improve efficiency, and enhance decision-making.Integrate financial systems and data analytics to support strategic initiatives.Revenue Enablement:Drive sustainable revenue growth and profitability through strategic financial planning and analysis.Partner with commercial teams to facilitate new product launches (e.g., cross-border payments) and market expansion.Optimize pricing strategies, revenue recognition, and contract terms to maximize revenue and profitability.Develop and implement financial models to assess the financial feasibility and impact of new business initiatives.Hiring and Talent Development:Recruit and develop top talent within the finance team to maintain a competitive edge.Foster a culture of continuous learning and professional development.Stakeholder Engagement:Actively manage relationships with regulators, banking associations, clients, and potential partners.Provide regular updates to the board of directors and executive team.Long-Term Market Positioning:Achieve and maintain healthy gross profit margins to support sustainable growth and future strategic initiatives.Position Ozow for long-term success through strategic planning and market analysis.Develop an exit strategy that aligns with the company's long-term objectives and maximizes shareholder value.RequirementsMinimum 10 years of senior finance leadership experience in fintech or payments.Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field; advanced degree (MBA) and professional qualifications (CA(SA), CIMA, ACCA) preferred.Strong analytical skills and ability to provide strategic insights.Exceptional leadership skills and effective communication abilities.Tech-savvy with understanding of fintech technologies and a passion for innovation.Proven problem-solving skills and ability to make data-driven decisions.Demonstrated experience in leveraging automation and AI to streamline processes and improve efficiency.Strong understanding of financial regulations and accounting standards.ComplianceAs a fintech company, we prioritize data security and compliance.
