Ideally, to have led operations at a regional or divisional level in a large retail company.Knowledge required:Store design, marketing and merchandise strategies and activities.Relevant HR practices, procedures and legislation.Operational store processes and methodologies.Location and property strategies.Economic and customer profile of business.Retail trends and challenges.Risk management.Skills required:Effective communication and motivation, using strong written and verbal communication.Consistently and effectively resolve multiple complex, interlinked issues fundamental to the successful execution of the job.Proven ability to lead Senior Managers in maximizing sales growth.Demonstrated resilience, tenacity, and maintain high levels of drive and initiative under pressure.Business and interpersonal proficiency.Understand, analyze, and interpret various internal and external factors that may impact the portfolio's success.Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.Ability to set and deliver on business targets, timelines, and strategic plans.Influence strategic decision-making across various and diverse functional teams in the company, to formulate and execute a compelling business strategy and operations.In terms of the Ackermans policy for appointments and promotions, preference will also be given to internal applicants who meet the competencies and minimum requirements for the position.
