Job PurposeThe purpose of this job is to ensure that the company achieves its mandate and strategic priorities thereby complying with the Trust Deed and all other relevant Government Acts and Regulations.Key Performance AreasLead the development and implementation of the company business strategy.Lead the overall conceptualisation and development of company business strategy.Drive the business model and strategy of the organisation.Provide strategic thought leadership to the organisation.Create the optimal working environment in the activation of strategy to be more effective in achieving the company's mandate.Create an innovative working environment.Create the desired organisational culture.Stakeholder InfluenceLeverage key global platforms to positively position the country.Develop and maintain partnerships and relationships with stakeholders.Drive the stakeholder prioritisation strategy.Position the organisation amongst critical stakeholders.Get buy-in from stakeholders on key decisions (endorsements).Actively promote an organisational brand image, messaging and positioning strategy within target markets – participate in local, regional and national conferences as required.Enable Resource Capacity (financial and human)Drive creative ways for alternative funding sources e.g. sponsorships.Enable the resource capacity in terms of budget and human resources.Organisational Management and GovernanceEnforce good governance and compliance.Create an internal environment conducive to the organisation being able to function in terms of human and financial resources, internal climate and culture.Embed a strong achievement culture through performance management.To be the image of the organisation.Create and orchestrate the message that positively tells the South African story.Compliance and policy development and implementation of the corporate identity – consultation with stakeholders on key branding and product issues.Drive the development of policies.Develop and manage operational capability and capacity.Develops and implements programmes to achieve strategic goals and contributes to the achievement of the National Development Plan.Staff Management and DevelopmentDevelop and manage local and global organisational people capability.Direct and entrench people development and performance practices within the company.Manage effective internal communication strategy.
