An exciting opportunity has arisen for a seasoned leader to step into the role of Chief Executive Officer (CEO) at a prominent financial services organization.
This role demands an individual who can steer the company towards sustainable growth, leveraging their expertise in the financial services industry to drive strategic initiatives, enhance operational efficiency, and foster a culture of excellence.
Key Responsibilities: Internal Process: Ensure the continuous sustainability of the organization by crafting and delivering a compelling brand story and experience.
Design and implement the growth strategy in alignment with the overall business strategy, focusing on setting standards, expanding channels, and achieving business communication excellence.
Effectively manage stakeholders across the organization and maintain strong relationships within the industry, including product suppliers, service providers, and outsourced partners.
Lead the business management, governance framework, risk management, and regulatory reporting while capitalizing on opportunities for growth and expansion.
Oversee vertical integration and drive digital transformation to enhance innovation, streamline business practices, and simplify operations.
Develop and implement strategic policies and plans that align with business objectives and ensure the value propositions for intermediaries, clients, and employees are fully realized.
Foster collaboration among operational departments and functional teams to achieve continuous improvement and meet service level agreements.
Continuously optimize organizational processes, systems, policies, and procedures to improve customer satisfaction and service delivery excellence.
Lead the C-Suite Executives, ensuring alignment with the company's strategic direction and overseeing the implementation of corporate governance, compliance, and ethics policies.
Client Services: Define and influence service models across functions to maintain high client satisfaction, optimize value chain integration, and ensure service delivery meets customer expectations.
Cultivate a client service excellence culture that fosters rewarding relationships and ensures exceptional client service.
Align service offerings with client needs, strategically directing delivery to meet after-sales targets.
Engage with franchise principals and sales/service staff to embed client-centric financial planning, advice, and product solutions within the company's operations.
Ensure the business is managed in accordance with Treating Customers Fairly (TCF) outcomes.
People Management: Develop and drive a people strategy that fosters a culture of exceptional performance, continuous learning, and cohesion within the organization.
Lead and mentor the organization's leadership, encouraging best practices and exemplifying the company's values through personal involvement and dedication.
Protect and enhance the organization's brand and culture by fostering connections with employees and business partners.
Financial Management: Ensure efficient day-to-day business operations within regulatory frameworks, developing a sustainable financial model that meets long-term objectives.
Manage return on equity and shareholder expectations, while driving sales targets and ensuring the business strategy is adequately budgeted.
Oversee the implementation of governance, compliance, and ethics frameworks, staying aligned with regulatory changes and industry best practices.
Qualifications: Post-graduate qualification in Finance or Business Management.
Professional designation (CA, Attorney, Actuary) is required.
Preferred qualifications: Certified Financial Planner (CFP) or Registered Key Individual (KI).
Experience: 10+ years of experience in the tied agency industry.
5+ years of experience managing tied agencies within financial services.
5+ years of experience leading the development of a provincial or national network of financial advisers.
3+ years of experience with technology utilization in financial services.
Knowledge and Skills: Extensive knowledge of people management, risk management, budgeting, resource development, and strategic planning.
In-depth understanding of the investment, health, insurance, and financial services industry, including relevant legislation (e.g., Pension Fund Act, TCF).
Strong executive stakeholder management and influencing skills, with a thorough understanding of the financial advisory industry and its regulatory framework.
Proficient in adapting to and driving change, with strong problem-solving, analytical, and decision-making skills.
Ability to lead and inspire teams, foster a culture of continuous improvement, and drive innovation.
