Responsible for: Executing acts, regulations, and road related specifications and policiesManaging DRE Office resources, such as human resources, financial matters, and supply chain managementMaintaining and constructing road infrastructure network within Region 1Protecting Provincial road reserveManaging Cape Winelands, Overberg & West Coast DM as agents for the Department Requirements: Engineering degree (B Eng/ BSC (Eng) or relevant qualification in Civil Engineering)At least 6 years post qualification experienceRegistration with the Engineering Council of South Africa (ECSA) as a Professional EngineerValid code B driving licence Key Competencies: Thorough knowledge of legislation, regulations, and policies related to Provincial Proclaimed Roads; road maintenance and construction; project management; budget and financial management; HR, financial, supply chain, mechanical and workshop management; written and verbal communication skills; strategic leadership and thinking capabilities.
Remuneration: All-inclusive salary package of R 1 200 426 - Grade A (OSD as prescribed), including all costs related to service benefits or obligations.
Selection Process: Shortlisted candidates will be required to submit documentation for verification purposes, criminal record vetting, and competency assessments/proficiency tests, guided by the EE targets of the employing department.
