Vacancy DetailsEmployer:Motor Industry Fund Administrators JOB PURPOSE·Chief Digital and IT Transformation Officer has the responsibility to provide strategic direction and oversee the Digital Enablement Strategy and processes that enable business growth and development, broadening our impact through digital delivery.·The Chief Digital and IT Transformation Officer is accountable for the implementation of suitable technology to streamline all MIFA internal operations and help optimize its strategic benefits through technology.·This role has the responsibility to formulate the strategy and direction for leadership and governance of Information Technology (IT) and Operational Technology (OT) Management in MIFA.·This role enables trusted, effective and efficient systems, processes and technologies that are aligned to MIFA's business strategy and which delivers benefits to the business. Chief Digital and IT Transformation Officer is responsible make informed decisions about technology adoption, guiding software development processes, and leading technical teams effectively.·This role is responsible for monitoring the management of hardware and software licenses and projecting future needs.JOB DESCRIPTION·Measure and monitor the achievement of strategic objectives of the Unit and take corrective measures.·Develop and deploy the strategic Digital and IT vision across IT and the organization.·Lead the IT team that project manages and delivers operational solutions using various techniques to responsively and effectively pilot and successfully implement the platforms.·Effectively lead and manage the IT teams, including goal setting and performance management, and ensure team engagement.·Provides clarity and consistency for prioritization and delivery of IT functions, tools, and technologies.·Exercises own judgment to set goals and determine strategies to achieve results that align with organizational goals.·Serves on various committees and other leadership teams as needed to provide IT expertise that align to the strategic goals of the organization.·Act as coach/mentor to team members and support skills development.·Work closely with the executive leadership team to set the strategy, build the roadmap for continuous digital transformation, and identify opportunities to improve our global digital and IT services.·Work cross-functionally to reimagine, reengineer, implement, and manage the organization's overall system processes, including IT, in alignment with organizational strategy, values, business objectives, and priorities.·Provide guidance on prioritization, and oversee the implementation of prioritized projects, and ensure methods, and processes are in place to iterate through a continuous improvement model.·Implement an environment of innovation, best and next practices, ensuring the use of technologies for the benefit of stakeholders.·Maintain strong knowledge of emerging external trends and technological advancements that are realistic to consider.·Lead the organization in maximizing operational excellence opportunities through continuity, risk assessment, and shaping the skills, processes, people, and tools we need to deliver the business objectives.·Create and imbed a prioritization approach to develop a roadmap for innovation with the relevant processes, tools, and metrics to support business objectives and new growth opportunities.·Identify potential issues that may arise during implementation processes and develop contingencies to address issues before they become problems.·Work with internal stakeholders to problem solve, ensuring that solutions deliver and enhance their experience.·Work with procurement on relevant digital solutions and services with external vendors, including assisting in negotiating costs, contracts, services, etc.·Supervise system infrastructure to ensure functionality and efficiency.·Oversee quality assurance and data protection processes.·Communicate overall business continuity and improvement strategy to internal and external stakeholders/partners.·Lead the development and communication of the organisation's policies for corporate governance of information.·Contribute to strategic plans for IT, which satisfy the current and ongoing needs of MIFA's business strategy, and the current and future capabilities of IT.·Promote clear decision making, leading to valid reasons for IT acquisitions.·Monitor provision of IT services, levels of service and service quality.·Ensure that MIFA's business processes are compliant with relevant legislation, and that the organisation operates according to the principles embedded in relevant standards.·Promote IT policies, practices and decisions which recognise the current and evolving needs of all the stakeholders.·Specify at a strategic level the business functions and data subjects needed to support future business, thereby enabling the development of an Information Architecture.·Establish and communicate MIFA information management strategy, developing it as an integrated part of the business strategy.·Direct information resources, to create value for the stakeholders by improving the performance of the organisation, whilst maintaining the principles of professional standards, accountability, openness, equality and diversity and clarity of purpose.·Ensure compliance with regulations, standards and codes of good practice relating to information and documentation, records management, information assurance and data protection.·Direct the creation and review of an enterprise capability strategy to support the strategic requirements of MIFA.·Identify the business benefits of alternative strategies.·Direct development of enterprise-wide architecture and processes which ensure that the strategic application of change is embedded in the management of the organisation.·Ensure compliance between business strategies, enterprise transformation activities and technology directions, setting strategies, policies, standards and practices.·Lead IT strategic and operational planning to achieve business goals by fostering innovation, prioritizing IT initiatives and coordinating the evaluation, implementation and management of current and future IT systems across MIFA.·Set strategy for management of resources, including corporate telecommunications functions, and promote the opportunities that technology presents to MIFA, including the feasibility of change and its likely impact upon the business.·Formulate and direct the MIFA's IT Strategy, ensuring effective deployment and management of IT resources.·Authorize allocation of resources for the planning, development and delivery of all information systems services and products.·Authorise organisational policies governing the conduct of management of change initiatives and standards of professional conduct.·Maintain an overview of the contribution of programs to organisational success.·Inspire creativity and flexibility in the management and application of IT.·Set strategy for monitoring and managing the performance of IT-related systems and services, in respect of their contribution to business performance and benefits to MIFA·Engage senior management in understanding cybersecurity priorities and creating executive buy-in for cyber risk management programs.·Assist Senior Management to comprehend how various security programs are effective and why cybersecurity should be considered a permanent capital expenditure, rather than allocating budgets reactively with respect to any recent security incidents.·Identify priority levels required for various datasets and invest the needed resources accordingly — budget, personnel and technology.·Mitigate the risks associated with new technologies while helping the organization to tap into opportunities and benefits derived from new technologies.·Prepare and enforce a governance framework that thoroughly validates technologies used in the organisation and ensure that they take a security-first approach, where technologies and processes considered inherently less secure become obsolete within the organization.·Identify tools and platforms used throughout the organization and evaluate whether the underlying maintenance and patching processes are relevant and robust against today's cyber threats.·Create a culture that prioritizes security as the responsibility of the whole organisation instead of considering it a function of the IT department alone.·Analyse security risks at many different levels and engage everyone in the organisation about the necessity for following organizational security practices.·Set security standards that dictate how the organization chooses to work with or acquire tools from vendors.·Review open-source usage in the organisation and set up support contracts with open-source vendors or project maintainers to ensure that the organization is not exposed to external vulnerabilities.·Persuade senior management to prioritise security as an organisational responsibility in making everybody observe security practices and processes as fundamental to the business and its cyber risk management.·Work with Business Continuity management to ensure that the disaster recovery (crisis management) and business continuity plans drive disaster recovery (DR) strategy and procedures.·Establish and maintain the overall plans for executing all DR procedures and understand their interdependencies.·Establish and maintain detailed DR communications and command and control plans through a change management process.·Work with the IT technical staff to ensure that disaster recovery solutions are adequate, in place, maintained, and tested as part of the regular operational life cycle.·Develop and understand all testing necessary for a successful DR execution.·Schedule and lead all DR exercises.·Provide ongoing feedback for risk management, mitigation, and prevention.·Represent disaster recovery cost requirements in the annual budgeting process.·Regularly report Disaster Recovery activities to upper management.·Act as liaison for auditing and examination of disaster recovery processes.·Help ensure compliance with all applicable federal, state and local laws, regulations, and ordinances.·Managing the end-to-end lifecycle of a cloud environment, including designing applications for the cloud.·Plan the cloud architecture, adapting security measures, provisioning resources, and maintaining cloud components.·Assess current application and infrastructure setup for our customers and stakeholders.·Assist in creating and executing migration plans.·Partner with operations, support, and other functions to ensure successful migrations.·Plan, monitor and control multiple large-scale cloud migration projects through all phases of the project lifecycle.·Planning and managing audit processes.·Designing audit programs and timelines·Developing and executing data analysis procedures·Evaluating the IT controls supporting business operations·Identifying and assessing all technology, information, and cyber risks·Reviewing applications and IT infrastructure for security risks·Supporting business audits by providing technology audit expertise·Preparing and submitting audit reports to management and external auditors·Recommending improvements to the organisation's information systems·Align IT risk management with organization-wide risk management.·Manage and maintain the integrity of all electronic and optical books and records of MIFA.·Interact with senior management team to monitor and validate the organization's compliance with information security policies; play a key role in defining these policies.·Ensure compliance with applicable security requirements and standards.·Ensure integrity and security of data and systems; direct development and execution of an enterprise-wide disaster recovery and business continuity plan.·Assess and provide guidance on cybersecurity threats and risks and providing appropriate mitigation options.
