Cherry Production Farm Manager

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS A degree / diploma in Agriculture advantageous Previous cherry farming experience Computer literate Experience with Global GAP and SIZA will be beneficial. Attention to detail, willingness to learn and promptness to. Must be able to take independent decisions at times and be 110% trustworthy. Must be maintenance orientated Ability to work with and motivate a team Valid drivers license RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO: Oversee all functions related to cherry cultivation, including planting, pruning, thinning, harvesting, and post-harvest handling. Manage irrigation systems. Manage, motivate and lead workforce. Perform basic repairs and maintenance on orchard equipment. Oversee weekly spraying and fertilizer applications. Coordinate the installation and maintenance of orchard infrastructure. Managing of caravan park and camping site on farm premises. Oversee cleaning, maintenance and guest check-in.
