Qualifications
BSc Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Polymer Science, or Materials Science
Experience
Strong fundamental knowledge in chemical processes, material science, and principles with proven problem-solving abilities
Duties
Conduct experiments and research in a laboratory setting to explore chemical reactions, properties, and compounds.
Analyze experimental data, interpret results, and prepare detailed reports and presentations on findings.
Assist in testing materials and products to ensure they meet safety, quality, and regulatory standards.
Participate in the design and synthesis of new chemical compounds, formulations, or materials for various industries.
Ensure all laboratory work complies with safety protocols, environmental regulations, and industry standards.
Work with multidisciplinary teams to solve chemical-related challenges in manufacturing and environmental science.
Maintain awareness of competitive products and applications, technical developments in related fields of science, and market trends as they relate to our business environment.
Develop innovative products through formulation, testing, and reformulation.
Participate in identifying future R&D needs and formulating plans to address them.
Collaborate with R&D team members and commercial teams regarding product formulation, process parameters, scale-up, and trial support.
Define test methodologies and requirements, prepare test samples, and conduct tests on chemicals and/or materials as required to support programs.
Investigate any complaints or non-conformance and propose necessary corrective or preventive actions to prevent recurrences and potential product failures.
