The Chemist is responsible for performing laboratory experiments to develop and evaluate new technologies for the commercialization of novel and innovative products. Support of production targets and involvement in the development and implementation of production improvement projects are important aspects of the job.
Qualifications
Matric with Maths and Science
Bachelor of Sciences degree in Chemistry
Experience
Minimum 2 Years Experience in Agricultural and Quality Control laboratories
Labware LIMS experience
LIMS administration function
Duties
The position of Chemist within analytical services is currently crucial to replace.
Research new methods, implement new methods, evaluate and implement technology, oversee Zambia laboratory activities, assist with customer interaction, and address any issues the laboratory supervisors cannot resolve.
The laboratory's daily activities will form part of the responsibilities.
This person will be involved in analytical research, agricultural and quality control laboratories, plant, SAP, soil, water, and fertilizer areas, and maintenance of all ISO certifications and accreditations.

Must have an understanding of ISO 9001, 17025, 14001, and 45001.
Knowledge of analytical instrumentation like ICP-OES, Kjeldahl distillation, and Discrete Analyzer.
Basic chemistry and laboratory knowledge will be advantageous.
