They are seeking a diligent and detail-oriented Chemical and Regulatory Compliance Officer to join the regulatory team.
This role focuses on managing the environmental, health, and safety aspects of the products throughout their life cycle.
The successful candidate will ensure compliance with various chemical regulations, (with specific reference to chemical import and export regulations all over the world) support product stewardship initiatives, and provide regulatory guidance to internal and external stakeholders.
Full time position based in Cape Town region.
This position will be suitable for a Graduate with a Degree in Chemistry Some relevant experience will be an advantage.
Requirements:Bachelor's degree in ChemistryExperience in chemical regulatory compliance will be an advantage.Prior experience in a manufacturing or chemical industryStrong knowledge of local, national, and international chemical regulationsExcellent organisational skills and attention to detailProficiency in regulatory tracking and compliance software.Strong communication skills and ability to present complex information clearlyAbility to work collaboratively with cross-functional teamsFamiliarity with industry-related certifications and testing standards would be an advantage Duties:Classify new raw materials and assess compliance of all substancesEnsure adherence to specific regulatory requirementsVerify R&D threshold requirements and specific purposes for R&D activitiesConduct patent searches related to new raw materialsManaging the yearly submission of regulatory documentation and reporting to the respective international authoritiesInvestigate and track other compliance requirementsApprove NPR samples for new and existing products, ensuring compliance with specific country requirementsOversee import/export regulations, including registrations and Certificates of ComplianceMaintain the regulatory matrix with regional listingsPromote sustainability and recycling initiativesEnsure regulatory compliance notifications for internal and OEM clientsPublish a quarterly regulatory newsletterOffer customer support and guidance on regulatory mattersConduct testing to ensure compliance with relevant standards If you have not heard from us within 3 months of applying, please consider your application unsuccessful.Only online applications will be considered.You will be directed to our database service provider, Ditto Jobs.
