Chef De Partie (Pastry) - Cruise Ships Key Responsibilities: - Prepare and present high-quality pastries and desserts in accordance with company standards and recipes - Assist in menu planning and development, taking into consideration dietary restrictions and guest preferences - Oversee and manage the pastry station, ensuring cleanliness, organization, and efficiency - Train and supervise junior pastry chefs and kitchen staff, providing guidance and support to maintain high standards - Maintain inventory and order supplies as needed to ensure a well-stocked and functioning pastry station - Ensure compliance with food safety and sanitation regulations at all times - Collaborate with other chefs and kitchen staff to ensure smooth operations and timely service - Continuously strive to improve and innovate pastry offerings, keeping up with industry trends and guest feedback - Adhere to company policies and procedures, including but not limited to attendance, punctuality, and grooming standards Qualifications: - Minimum of 2 years experience as a Pastry Chef or Chef De Partie (Pastry) in a high-volume, fine dining establishment - Culinary degree or equivalent certification preferred - Strong knowledge of pastry techniques, ingredients, and flavor combinations - Experience with menu planning and recipe development - Ability to work well under pressure and in a fast-paced environment - Excellent communication and leadership skills - High attention to detail and organization - Knowledge of food safety and sanitation regulations - Flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays - Must be able to pass a background check and obtain necessary certifications for working on a cruise ship Join our team and embark on a unique and exciting culinary journey while travelling and working on a Cruise Ship.
