We are looking for a talented Chef De Partie for an exciting new pizza restaurant located at a prestigious Wine Estate. The successful candidate have good experience in pizza-making, have an eye for detail, and thrive in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
In this role, you'll be responsible for ensuring consistency and high quality in every dish while collaborating with the Head Chef to deliver outstanding pizza creations.
Key Responsibilities:
Prepare and craft artisanal pizzas, ensuring excellent dough preparation, topping arrangement, and baking techniques for every order.
Lead the pizza station, ensuring the workspace is clean, organized, and that all equipment is properly maintained.
Manage the preparation of pizza dough, including mixing, kneading, fermenting, and proofing, while adhering to the restaurant's premium quality standards.
Work alongside the Head Chef to create and refine unique pizza recipes.
Ensure smooth service during busy times by coordinating with other kitchen sections for a seamless guest experience.
Track inventory and order ingredients as needed, minimizing waste and following the restaurant's cost management policies.
Requirements:
Culinary Certificate/Diploma
At least 2-3 years of experience as a Chef de Partie with a focus on pizza-making.
Ability to remain calm and professional under pressure in a high-energy environment.
In-depth knowledge of pizza-making techniques, including dough preparation, proofing, stretching, and baking, particularly in wood-fired or specialty ovens.
Creativity and passion for pizza-making, with a drive to innovate while staying true to traditional methods.
Strong communication and teamwork skills, with a capacity to mentor junior staff and collaborate effectively with senior chefs.
