Safari JOBS is searching for a Chef de Partie for a very busy, well-established, premier 5* restaurant situated in a breath-taking area of Stellenbosch.

Our client is in need of a professional CDP to amaze the patrons of their establishment with excellent cooking according to the company's recipes and specifications.
Due to the live-out nature of this position our client can only consider applications from Stellenbosch, Paarl, Franschhoek, Somerset-West, and the Northern Suburbs.

Clear criminal record and excellent employment track record
Chef Certificate/Diploma
Own transport with a valid driver's license / reliable transport
2 - 3 years of previous experience as a Chef De Partie
Comfortable in dealing with very distinguished clientele

???????????????????? ????????????:
Excellent communication skills, Ability to work in a team, Ability to maintain a professional working relationship with all departments and across cultures and religions, Punctuality & self-disciplined, Attentive to detail.

???????????? & ???????????????????????????????? ??????????????:
Maintain control of stocks in area of responsibility;
Maintain health, hygiene and safety requirements;
Control quality, quantity and cost price of all dishes prepared in the area of responsibility;
Ensure that the Sous Chef is informed on ingredient orders, maintain par stock levels and accepts & stores food deliveries according to SOP's;
Ensure proper handling and storage of food in line with HACCP requirements;
Ensure that all mise-en-place is always freshly prepared and on time;
Ensure that all dishes are correctly garnished, have the correct portion and size, and are presented on the prescribed serving dish in the prescribed manner;
Follow the guidance of the Executive Chef or Sous Chef and have input in new ways of presentation or dishes;
Put effort into optimizing the cooking process with attention to speed and quality;
Help to maintain a climate of smooth and friendly cooperation.

CTC monthly remuneration: NEG. DOE & qualifications. Please advise your salary expectation upon application;
Pension fund contributions: Included within the CTC but is voluntary / not compulsory to take

Working Days / Hours: 5 days on (shifts), 2 days off
