We have an amazing opportunity for a Chef Assistant to be based in Phoenix, Durban. Do you think you have what it takes to be our newest Purple Star?
The successful candidate will be responsible for basic food preparation, assisting chefs with dishing up food and presentation, whilst ensuring that the housekeeping is in line with Hollywood standards. Responsibilities include kitchen stock count and ensuring that the kitchen stock is stored and maintained appropriately.

What You'll Do For The Brand: Ensure appropriate dress code in line with health and safety requirements. Inspect and clean food preparation areas, ensuring safe and sanitary food-handling practices. Inspect kitchen stock and ensure all food items are stored and maintained properly. Ensure stock rotation and proper disposal of expired food. Prepare food in readiness for chefs for all manufactured menu items as per GAAP. Dish up orders in accordance with GAAP portion sizes. Ensure all orders are prepared and presented in line with Hollywood standards. Report any operational problems that could hinder daily operations. Ensure the kitchen and cooking area is left neat and tidy prior to the next shift. Any other ad hoc duties that might be required.
