A well established logistics company is looking for a chartered accountant to join the team.Key Responsibilities:Financial Reporting:Prepare and present monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.Ensure compliance with International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS).Budgeting and Forecasting:Develop and maintain budgets, forecasts, and financial projections.Analyze variances between actual results and budget, providing insights and recommendations.Tax Compliance and Planning:Manage tax planning, VAT, and statutory submissions.Ensure compliance with local tax regulations and file accurate returns on time.Internal Controls and Audits:Implement and maintain effective internal controls to safeguard company assets.Coordinate and manage external and internal audits, ensuring timely completion.Financial Analysis:Conduct in-depth financial analysis to support business decision-making.Provide financial insights to management on cost-saving initiatives, pricing strategies, and profitability improvement.Cash Flow Management:Monitor and manage cash flow to ensure liquidity.Oversee accounts payable, receivable, and treasury functions.Regulatory Compliance:Stay updated on changing regulations and ensure compliance with corporate governance standards.Implement best practices in financial management to align with industry standards.Strategic Financial Leadership:Collaborate with senior management to support long-term business goals.Advise on investment decisions, risk management, and financial performance optimization.Qualifications:Education:Chartered Accountant (CA) qualification is mandatory.Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.Experience:Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in financial management, preferably in the logistics or related industry.Strong background in financial reporting, budgeting, and auditing.Skills:Advanced knowledge of financial software (e.g., SAP, QuickBooks).Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.Strong communication and interpersonal skills.Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.In-depth knowledge of IFRS and tax regulations.Job Types:Full-time, PermanentPay:R40000,00 - R60000,00 per monthEducation:Bachelors (Preferred)License/Certification:SAICA member registration (Preferred)
