Channel and Business Development Manager C&S As the Channel & Business Development Manager for Control & Software (C&S), you will be pivotal in driving the regional orders' plan, a critical responsibility that significantly impacts our business. You will manage all C&S System Integrators in Southern Africa (South Africa/Botswana/Namibia/Mozambique/Zambia/Angola/Zimbabwe) and engage in business development activities for Oil & Gas, Renewables, Water and Wastewater, Infrastructure, Smart Cities, Material Handling, and Data Centers in these territories. Your role will report directly to the C&S Leader for MEA under Discrete business, ensuring clear communication and goal alignment. In This Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be: Achieve an individual order plan for your territory or accounts. Engage in early-stage business development of new accounts. Find and win new customers by effectively communicating technology and convincing them to choose Emerson. Put customers first and help them solve their challenges across internal supporting functions. Maintain existing System Integrator, machine builder, and end-user customer base. Prepare bills of material, quotations, and special price requests, including DoA reviews. Align with supply chain on product availability and solve to meet customer needs. Support the resolution of customer requests. Create new accounts and follow compliance processes. Travel to visit your personal territory customers. Work with proposals, sales, application engineers, and project services teams to settle the right deal strategy and tactical steps. Enable and build partnerships with other Emerson business units, identifying alignment growth activities and owning the execution. Assist the marketing team with campaign and activity planning as well as execution. Interact with marketing, product managers, engineers, and supply chain to provide feedback on market or customer needs and dynamics. Utilize Salesforce.com CRM as a collaboration tool. Work with finance teams on customer terms and payments. Ensure Emerson Ethics and trade compliance procedures are closely followed with all business transactions. Fulfill any other reasonable duties as required. Who You Are: Proven ability, efficiency, and track record in selling. Good presentation skills with the ability to develop convincing arguments. For This Role, You Will Need: Bachelor's degree in engineering (preferably in Electrical / Electronics / Control Systems/Computer Science). Approximately five years of experience in a sales role. Preferred Qualifications That Set You Apart: Executive presence and confidence. Solid understanding of systems engineering and cabinet construction and design, including control circuits, electrical, Fieldbus networking, Ethernet networking, and power supplies. Our Offer to You!
