The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in the sawmill or manufacturing industry, strong leadership skills, and a track record of driving financial performance and growth. Key Responsibilities: Financial Strategy and Planning:Develop and implement financial strategies to support the company's goals and objectives.Lead financial forecasting, budgeting, and financial modelling activities.Provide strategic recommendations to the CEO and executive management team.Financial Reporting and Compliance:Oversee the preparation and presentation of financial statements and reports.Ensure compliance with all financial regulations and standards.Coordinate with external auditors and manage audit processes.Operational Finance:Manage cash flow, treasury, and working capital to maintain financial stability.Oversee accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll.Implement and maintain robust internal controls and financial procedures.Risk Management:Identify and mitigate financial risks to the company.Ensure appropriate insurance coverage and manage relationships with insurance providers.Oversee investment activities and manage company assets.Team Leadership:Lead and develop the finance and accounting team, fostering a culture of continuous improvement.Provide mentorship and guidance to team members.Promote a collaborative and results-driven work environment.Business Partnership:Partner with other senior leaders to drive business performance and strategic initiatives.Provide financial insights and analysis to support decision-making.Participate in key business meetings and contribute to the overall management of the company.
