About the job CERTIFIED INSTRUCTOR (Mining)INTERNAL & EXTERNAL ADVERTDATE OF DISTRIBUTION: 09 November 2024CLOSING DATE: 18 November 2024DEPARTMENT: HRDPURPOSE OF THE JOB: To train and assess mining technical skills according to the quality LDS principles, legislative requirements, and to facilitate theoretical, practical and behavioral competencies to improve H&S and increase productivity according to the organisational needs.MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS:ETD/ HRD Qualification will be an added advantage.Assessor/Moderator certificate will be an added advantage.2 years production experience is essential.One or more of the following qualifications are required: Winch Operator / Rock drill Operator / Blasting Assistant and Equipping helper.Valid medical certificate or be medically fit in order to obtain such a certificate.COMPETENCIES:Excellent facilitation and coaching skills.Technical working knowledge with regard to mining skills.DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:Facilitating skills development to meet individual and operational requirements.Ensuring adherence to Health and Safety Regulations.Assessing learners against national unit standards.Completing and submitting all required documentation accurately and correctly.
