Our leading Global IT Communications client is looking for a dynamic CEO who will be based in Mauritius The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and executing an innovative commercial strategy, with a primary focus on medium to long-term financial planning, revenue growth, investment opportunities, strategic partnerships, and overseeing legal and risk management. Additionally, they will work to accelerate profitable business growth and ensure commercial success through both organic expansion and acquisitions, while supporting customer retention. The candidate will also lead the executive team, steering success and accountability across the respective global functions and entities Key Responsibilities include: Strategy Formulation and Implementation Contribute to the development and refinement of Company's vision and strategy Oversee the overall process of management and corporate decision-making to ensure the organisation maximises its short, medium and long-term profitability and returns to its shareholders Collaborate with other executive heads and/or functions on the implementation of the company's strategic and operational plans Develop, review, and report on Company's strategy to the board, ensuring executive governance is adhered to, and the strategic objectives are well understood and executed by the team Lead the Company Exco meetings General Management of the Business Ensure that each area of the business performs and runs efficiently in terms with their strategic, development and operational plan and objectives Maintain the administration, budgeting, monitoring, reporting, communication and liaison on all company affairs at a level acceptable to the board Implement, maintain and manage an effective system of controls throughout the company, covering non- financial as well as financial controls Ensure Company's high standard of excellence is owned by all executives, managers and employees within the business Ensure that appropriate standards of conduct are established and complied with Ensure financial health of the business, presenting monthly, quarterly and annual reports (as required) in line with the annual budget for board approval Prudently manage resources within budget guidelines according to company policy and within ethical corporate governance guidelines Staff Management Build and lead an effective and cohesive executive team, extending to function managers Proactively recruiting, motivating, managing and developing teams to achieve the required skills set and calibre of personnel required to deliver on the business strategy Ensuring a consistent approach to performance management, adherence to company values and policies, and fostering a highly motivated culture of service excellence Steer the objectives and outputs for the respective functions aligned to Company's overall strategy and organisational goals Proactively respond to escalations, issues concerns, and addressing non-compliance and poor performance as required Finance Management and Development Provide executive steering and day-to-day management of the financial function, creating a solid strategy to develop and improve the skillset of the finance team Objectives and outputs as follows: Financial Management and Control Developing and implementing finance and financial management strategies Guiding the development, implementation annual review of financial systems, controls and guidelines Preparing expenditure forecasts, strategic plans, budgets and estimates and advising on Company's financial situation Monitoring and addressing non-compliance Developing and managing strategies, processes and systems in order to provide financial support to the Board/Executive Team Develop and maintain a strong working relationship with key stakeholders on financial matters Oversee long-term budgetary planning, forecasting and cost management in alignment with Company's strategic plan Contribute to the business strategy and ensure financial objectives are aligned across the group Implementing effective and transparent systems for risk management Financial Performance and Reporting Leading and managing the process of preparing and submitting financial statements to stakeholders Generating, managing and analysing cost management reports Evaluating financial reports in order to advise on the financial strategy going forward Managing the financial reporting to ensure accuracy, measurability and reliability of submissions Financial Optimisation Global tax optimisation Identifying, scrutinising and management of mergers and acquisitions to create value for the business Development and implementation of a global cost recovery model to ensure that corporate costs are adequately recovered Identifying and implementing the ideal corporate structures to optimise the financial flows across the global entities Legal Risk and Compliance Lead complex projects that span legal, business and functional boundaries (e.g cross geographies, subject matter areas, jurisdictions, organizations and business models) Support the overall process of management and corporate decision-making to ensure that the Group complies with all legal provisions and requirements Assessing the risks to the business of any new commercial opportunities Identify, assess and evaluate risk and compliance to enable the development and implementation of an effective Risk and Compliance Management strategy Ensure awareness of any legal updates/ regulatory changes and advise the board Awareness and application of sound corporate governance principles Manage and oversee all company secretarial matters Regularly familiarise yourself with Company's portfolio of Products and Services, Customers, Suppliers and internal Procedures Minimum Requirements: Education and Experience: A Bachelor's degree in Finance or Accounting essential and advanced degree in related field, CIMA preferred Minimum 7-10 years' executive-level experience within a global organisation, with the a proven track record for success and leadership Minimum 5 years' experience within the ICT/Telecommunications or similar Industry, with global experienc
